Observation
Observing the process of creating stop motion videos and learning shooting
was eye-opening. I noticed that both mediums require a keen eye for detail
and a deep understanding of the subject matter. In stop motion, each frame
needs to be meticulously planned and executed to ensure smooth movement and
coherence in the story. Similarly, photography demands a comprehensive grasp
of lighting, composition, and timing to capture the essence of the scene. I
also observed that video editing in Adobe Premiere Pro is a meticulous task
that requires precision and a clear vision to transform raw footage into a
compelling narrative. I also observed that every production crew must work
collaboratively to work on every shooting scene to ensure the outcome are
good. Besides, creating story scenes and organized the storyboard are
relatively important for shooting purpose.
Experience
My experience with stop motion videos involved a lot of trial and error,
patience, and creativity. I spent countless hours moving characters frame by
frame, adjusting lighting, and ensuring consistency in each shot. In
photography, I experimented with various techniques, settings, and
environments to understand the impact of different elements on the final
image. The hands-on experience with Adobe Premiere Pro was particularly
enlightening, as I learned to navigate the software, apply transitions, and
synchronize audio with visuals. These experiences taught me the importance
of persistence, experimentation, and attention to detail in visual
storytelling.
Findings
Through these creative endeavors, I found that storytelling in any
medium—be it stop motion, photography, or video editing—requires a
harmonious blend of technical skills and artistic vision. Stop motion taught
me the value of patience and precision, as even the smallest mistake can
disrupt the flow of the animation. Photography highlighted the importance of
capturing the right moment and using visual elements to convey a message.
Video editing with Adobe Premiere Pro reinforced the significance of
structure and pacing in creating an engaging narrative. Ultimately, these
experiences revealed that successful visual storytelling hinges on the
ability to seamlessly integrate creativity with technical expertise.
