Week 12
Under Mr. Hafiz's guidance, we learned the nuanced art of distorting and transforming words into a three-dimensional realm. DIGITAL POSTER PROGRESS #1

DIGITAL POSTER PROGRESS #2

I opted for an image captured during the festivities of the previous Christmas season, and subsequently utilized the mask selection tool within Adobe Photoshop to precisely crop my portrait from the photograph.

Upon completing the cropping process, I used the curves line in Adobe Photoshop to fine-tune the color tones and brightness to enhance its saturation to align with the vibrant aesthetic reminiscent of the Y2K theme I aimed to achieve.

Subsequently, I applied the method instructed by Mr. Fauzi, utilizing the pen tool to meticulously select my facial features then the marquee tool to isolate my facial selection and seamlessly create a new layer through the cut command.

Thereby, I successfully excised my facial image, and to further enhance the visual impact, I fine-tuned the bevel layers and 3D smoothness settings to emphasize the spatial dimensions within the composition, adding depth and visual interest to the overall presentation.

DIGITAL POSTER PROGRESS #6

I selected images of flowers and creatively incorporated them into my body to articulate a profound expression of my passion for both the art of arsonism and my love for botanical beauty.

I harnessed the font I developed, Anza, which originated from my typography class. Integrating the principles learned in illustration visual narratives lessons, I transformed the typography into a three-dimensional masterpiece. Through a skillful combination of techniques, I inflated the letter's dimensionality 3D effects

Reflection

During the four-week duration of this final task, I found myself navigating through the challenges and intricacies of three distinct modules: Typography, Illustration & Visual Narrative, and Digital Imaging & Photography.

The Typography module provided a foundational understanding of how fonts can convey meaning and and creating a my own font not only enhanced my technical skills in font design but also prompted me to consider how typography can be a powerful storytelling tool.

Digital Imaging & Photography opened up avenues to experiment with self-portraits and manipulate images. Integrating a self-portrait into the poster required careful consideration of composition and overall visual impact. I discovered the intricate balance between personal expression and the technical aspects of digital imaging, recognizing how these skills contribute to a compelling visual narrative.Even though After effect is quite difficult for me to learn.

Synthesising with the module Illustration & Visual Narrative allowed me to dig into the field of visual storytelling. I realised how important it is to keep a consistent story subject that expresses my personal or artistic identity in terms of visual storytelling and its capacity to connect with the audience. I really cherish the skills that I have learnt in these final as it was really interesting and could be utilised in many ways.

I feel very delighted to conduct on this final as it is a self-exploration process thereby express in a dynamic artistic way which leads to the reason of my title " Delight to Shine" and "Cool to Shine".

Overall, the process highlighted the relations of these modules, emphasizing the need for a holistic approach to create a visually striking and conceptually meaningful self-representatives poster.
